DISCLAIMER! We don't own the character of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with them, ne?
(( Gather around, children... for I tell you of the latest story that has lead each character up to the point in which they are now. ))
--------------------
In the great palace of Upper Egypt, a miracle seemed to be happening. Held within the protective embrace of his father, the Prince of Egypt, Atem, was born. His father smiled with tears running down his cheeks as he realized that the sooner they train the boy, the sooner Atem would finally be able to rule the population of Upper Egypt without a problem to heed. Though the mother died giving birth to the little prince, she would be proud watching over the family. Little did the current pharaoh know... Atem wasn't going to be the child of Ra like the majority of the population thought.
Atem grew up as something more of a problem child than anything else. Whether it was putting hot spice in the High Priest's face wash or painting adult-like symbols in the various temples surrounding the palace. All in all, the boy was turning out to be the worst case of royalty in the entire family tree. As the trouble-making continued, there was nothing the pharaoh could do to stop it but punish the little one and tell him of the disappointment he felt toward his son. The punishment and ignorance didn't grow anywhere quickly though...
Without the love and communication from his father that Atem so longed for, he only grew far more distraught and began shifting away from being a careless child and moved into a cold state of being. Atem, by his age of 17, was a cold-hearted man with a taste for concubines and if he wasn't pleased, those slaves were tossed into their very deaths.
Pharaoh was not very pleased by his behavior, but figured it was just a phase that would pass after given time to settle. Then one day... the pharaoh was struck down by a serious sickness that took his very life away. Atem, the new pharaoh of Upper Egypt, went through many changes. He locked himself in his room for days and only accepted food once a day. When he left the confines of his room to rule over Upper Egypt, he never asked for another female slave ever again. He went for something a little different...
Pharaoh Atem... was interested in male bedroom slaves.
Still as cold-hearted as before, Atem went through slave after slave after slave. Each one that did not adhere to his needs was beheaded or slaughtered to the point in which they screamed for death and pleaded before his feet. It seemed as if the pharaoh was only looking for someone to give him what he had always longed for; love.
-------------------
One day, he called in his loyal adviser, Marik (Dun dun dun!), and told him to round up the best guards of the palace and bring him a line of Spellcasters (Magicians, if you will.) and bring them back to the palace to be looked over and chosen as slaves. So each guard was rounded up and ready to head out to the village and capture a line of Spellcasters. Of course, they didn't go unprotected.
Held in each hand of each guard was a device called a "Spell Bind". Each Spell Bind would slapped onto the wrist or ankle of each captured Spellcaster. This device would clamp on tightly and keep the Spellcaster from casting any spells to endanger the guard. If a spell was attempted, a curse was activated and a wave of electrical impulses was shot through the Spellcaster's body, leaving them numb. Only the rightful master could remove the Spell Bind and the curse set upon it.
The guards came back with over 50 spellcasters hissing and begging to go back home. Within those 50 was a timid, yet very different, spellcaster that attempted to hide behind a built Spellcaster. The built Spellcaster, obviously the timid one's brother, glared at the pharaoh and even had the mind to spit on the foot of Atem as he approached. Marik had seemed to have his eye on the shy and frightened magician, but in the end... Atem told the guards to seize the exotic creature and take his brother to the dungeon.
Needless to say, Marik was not happy about losing the one he'd kept an eye on.
---------------
After his long day's work, Atem was eager to make it back to his room and see the spellcaster in which he'd chosen earlier. Upon meeting with the blue-eyed boy, the pharaoh was hit with love. There was no way to seduce the other since he was so frightened... so Atem settled for a name; Seth.
Atem spent each and every day with Seth and the two seemed to grow quite close, even with Atem being quite strict with the brunette. Nothing could tear the two apart... until the mistake of a lifetime was made.
When Atem had returned from a visit to the temple of Ra, destruction had been caused within the main palace area and many had been killed. In the middle of all of the fallen stones sat a distraught Seth with blood covering his clothes and tears leaking from his eyes. Atem's anger was too much to handle as he grabbed onto the brunette's hair and dragged him upstairs, not bothering to listen to the spellcaster's pleas.
"Please, my master!" He had shouted. "There is a dark force within me that could not be handled! It was not me who did it! It was-" Seth's words were cut off as he was thrown on the bed and bound to the posts; there was no saving the magician.
Atem had raped him...
--------------
As time went on, the pharaoh had found out that the words Seth had spoken were entirely true. There had been a dark force within the spellcaster that sought nothing but destruction. Atem had punished the wrong person and made the only person he loved fear him... again.
Now the pharaoh is trying hard each day to gain the trust of Seth once more.
