-----------
Along the streets of upper Egypt walked a lonely soul, stricken with the haggard feeling of knowing nothing of herself. Selentha, having awoken in the streets of Upper Egypt, remembered nothing about how she had gotten there... nor nothing of her parents or past life. Wandering about longingly, the young woman nearly began to cry as many eyes gazed upon her form. Suddenly, the starvation and dehydration took its toll, sending her into an abyss of darkness as he fainted in the middle of a walk way.
Awakening in the household of the entertainer Ithicate and a man named Baxton, Selentha didn't know what to do. The two seemed very loving toward the young female and she grew very close to the pair. Ithicate soon took her into training as a belly dancer while Baxton would sit in on the training sessions to make sure all worked well. Baxton and Selentha soon grew together as more of a big brother and little sister relationship prospered between them. Baxton grew to be a very over-protective brother figure, but Selentha never really took notice; she loved feeling protected.
The relationship was severed, much to their disappointment, as Baxton was taken away to undergo fierce training to become a warrior.
Leaving her house with Ithicate's permission, Selentha went to play with the other children of her current village. When the play got too rowdy, a child was hurt and Selentha went to curiously inspect it. When she laid a gentle hand on the wound, her flesh began to glow a soft silver before the wound magically healed. Fearing the magical powers, all of the children ran away whilst screaming, "Freak! You are a monster!"
Hearing all of the commotion nearby, a Priest left the safety of his temple to view in on what had been happening. Seeing Selentha on her knees crying about what had happened, the man quickly escorted her back to Ithicate. With a long conversation, Ithicate agreed to allow the Priest to take Selentha with him to undergo some serious training to better approach her life as a Priestess. Ithicate wished her much luck and sent her on her way to begin her vigorous training sessions to become a highly-ranked Priestess.
The days of her training under the Priest were so dark that Selentha fails to speak of such days. If asked, she would calmly dismiss the question and move on to another subject better suited for her mood. It has become apparent that no matter how much one asks, no one will ever hear of Selentha's darkest days spent with the Priest...
Once finished with her training, Selentha left the temple of Thoth and began her search to find another temple to represent. One day whilst walking on the outskirts of the palace to gaze upon the many temples of Gods and Goddesses, Selentha forgot to watch where she was walking. The collision was so severe that Selentha had been knocked down onto her behind with a "Oof!"
The man she had run into growled as he bent over to pick up the many scrolls that he had dropped when he ran into Selentha's frail form. Adjusting his High Priest head adornment, Sethos held all of the scrolls within the curve of his elbow and glared down at Selentha with fierce navy blue eyes. "Why don't you watch where you are traveling, peasant!" He snapped bitterly.
"P-Peasant?!" Selentha snapped as she pushed herself up and brushed the dirt off of her behind and reached down to snatch up one last scroll that Sethos had managed to forget about. "I am no peasant! And you should have been watching where you were going too! If you had been watching, you would have been able to dodge me just fine!" She retorted whilst laying her free hand on her hip.
Growling to himself, Sethos pushed his hand out, palm open. "Give me that cure spell, woman." He spoke with his deep tone of voice.
"For your information," She paused as she looked over the scroll. "This is a curse spell. Darkest Reaches is what the scripture looks like. For a Priest, you need to better grasp your knowledge on Cures and Curses." She grinned and winked before handing the scroll over to the distraught Priest.
Silence took over for many moments before Sethos sighed. "Come with me. I will escort you to High Priest Mahaado and he will direct you to a temple in which you will work under."
With a bright smile, Selentha quickly bounded off after the retreating figure of Sethos. After a discussion with Mahaado, Selentha was paired with Sethos to work in the temple of Ra. The two grew a stronger bond with each other and soon became something of good friends; though Sethos never had the kind of exterior to show that he enjoyed Selentha's company, he secretly looked to her as his best friend... aside from his light, Seth.
Since Selentha had been noticed about the palace, at night she would be requested to go about and entertain others during gatherings. This is where she met Seth, before the night after he was raped by Atem, and they were paired to dance together as partners. Together, they would do anything possible to make their belly dancing entertaining for everyone. During one night, they had messed up the dance and the audience ended up booing the two off stage.
Selentha and Seth were beaten severely for the mistake, but the entire time... the two just looked at each other with pain-filled eyes and couldn't help but smile at the bond they already began to share.
Working harder together, Selentha and Seth soon became the best dancers and entertainers in all of Egypt; and their bond grew with the reputation.
Hearing of his Priestess becoming so popular and working with Seth and Sethos when it came to scrolls, Pharaoh Atem soon allowed Selentha to live within the palace in a small, but luxurious room. Though Selentha never asked for a servant to help with anything, a pair of guards were asked to stand before her room door and keep her safe. Upon meeting the two guards meant to protect her, Selentha found one of the guards to be her older brother figure, Baxton.
Reunited with her older brother figure, Selentha does everything she can to restore a peaceful setting upon the palace and aid Seth in his healing process.
