"Man, that was close..." Masika sighed as he slowed down from a run to a slow walk as he approached the oasis. He sat down being careful not to rub his bare feet on the hot sand too roughly, and looked down at bundle of clothes in his hands. Well, at least I have another pair of clothes. "Get back here you theif!" is what the 'victim' yelled at Masi, and he took it a little bit personally Theif... Slowly, he unfolded them and starting with the top peice, he dipped it the water and began to clean the clothes the best he could. He didn't want to wear something that had someone else's sweat and who knows what else on it.

(Longer child! :3)Selentha let out a soft sigh and balanced the basket full of sheets as she continued to walk down the worn path towards the small oasis.
The sunlight emited heat waves that could be seen in the distance, Selen shaded her eyes and squinted slightly to avoid the light hitting her eyes.
She continued to trudge up the sand dune until she saw the reflecting waters of the oasis, its cool breeze refreshing her. She jogged up, making sure to not let any sheets fall. Her pink lips widened in a smile as she kneeled down and pulled out the bar of soap used for the laundry.
Selentha wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, her long hair tied up in a high; messy bun. As she cleaned, she heard the stomping of hurried footsteps and looked up to see a young man stand near her, not noticing her presence yet.
Selentha stood slowly hearing the angry cries in the distance.
"What happened? "she asked curiously.
Selentha kneeled back to her laundry and continued to tending to it, her ears still perked for the answer of the young man that appeared next to her. She tried not to drift off into another thoughtful daydream, taking guard in case he was danger but so far he seemed to be of none.

(I tried.. ;.; I haven't Rped in a reaaally long time)Masika continued scrubbing the clothes roughly with his hands. He stopped every once in a while to look around to make sure no one was about to ambush him or something. Indeed, he was acting very suspicious. Soon, he finished washing the top piece, folded it neatly and placed it in his lap, then went on to the bottom piece, which looked like a skirt to him, but Masika couldn't afford to be picky.
"What happened?" Masika turned his head quickly to see who the voice belonged to. To his relief, he found out it was only a woman washing clothes too. "Um...Just.. some drunken men were chasing after me..." Of course he was lying again, a frequent habit he had developed since his family's death. When he turned back around to continue washing his new 'skirt', he couldn't find it... In fact, it dropped in the oasis without him knowing it, and most likely sunk to the bottom. Masika sighed as he realized this, reached down into the water, and tried to locate it...

"Some drunks eh?" She cracked a friendly smile as she sat on her feet, still hunched in her kneeling position.
She glanced towards him and then back at her wet hands, the water dripping off her fingertips as the sheet floated in the banks of the oasis.
Selentha tucked a strand of blonde hair, her silver-blue orbs grazing back to his own eyes and her pink lips lifted in another friendly smile.
"So what brings you to this cozy town along the banks of the Nile?" She asked curiously, looking back to her cloth and began to work again.
"I dont mind it really, its quite interesting and it does have its benefits being a priestess! I love helping the people and such" she rambled a bit, fluttering about.
She sighed softly and licked her lips, glancing up at the sky. It was a nice day for it not being not quite so hot for once, a nice breeze swept past them; fluttering her robes slightly.
She adjusted her hair bun and smiled a bit.
"Drunks like those are idiots for being such jerks, if they pick a fight with ya I'll so kick their butts for you!" she gleamed white teeth and clenched her fist.

When Masika finally felt the piece of clothing, he smiled and grabbed it, and then pulled it from underneath the water. Masika sat upright to finish washing the clothes and replied to the woman beside him. "Well..I guess I just want to see new places." He didn't want to tell her about his whole family dieing, for he didn't want her to pity him and drown him with "Aw.."s, "That's so terrible!"s, and "I'm so sorry..."s. It would just make him even more terrible about the whole thing. Plus, he already said he's lost his family when he was in his other form, Layla. Suspicion would just gather up gradually...
"I don’t mind it really, its quite interesting and it does have its benefits being a priestess! I love helping the people and such"
"You're a priestess?!" Masika spun around to face the woman, his face full of astonishment and excitement. He's always wanted to meet a priestess in person since he saw one when he was little. He saw them as women that were blessed with unexplainable beauty of the Gods and Goddesses themselves. The thought of having the ability to connect with the Gods and Goddesses directly simply amazed him. First I meet a girl that's really a dragon..and now this? What's next?
Masika almost completely ignored the priestess’s next comment and just continued staring at her with awe and admiration.

"You're a priestess?!" Masika spun around quickly, facing her with a look of astonishment, excitement twinkling in his eyes. She blinked twice, a small frown on her lips as a look of confusion marked her features. She saw no big deal with being a priestess, though she was always looked upon when she roamed the streets and she heard the soft murmurs of the people she passed by, the people she use to know who ridculed her behind her back, some still even spat in her path but she ignored it all. Not a care because she knew she had true friends and people whom she grew to care dearly about.
She brought out of her deep thinking to smiled at Masika.
"Y-Yes..Im the high priestess of Ra" She smiled, giggling a bit at his still ever-wide grin.
She stood up, her the edges of her robes pooling over her feet and straighten herself. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Im sorry Im not really in the best of wear! Im just doing some cleaning of the trainer robes and such." she smiled, flicking a strand off her loose hair behind her ear.
"Why such excitement dear?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

Masika blushed slightly and turned away as the woman frowned at him. “I..I’m sorry.” He looked back his clothes that were, thankfully, still in his hands – an attempt to shift his mind to something else so he could forget feeling stupid. Now how am I going to dry this..? It could probably be hung in between two trees..if only he had a line with him. "Y-Yes..Im the high priestess of Ra"
"It's a pleasure to meet you too. Do you happen to have a line I can dry my clothes, by any chance?"
Masika turned away from the priestess, and flapped the stolen shirt and the 'skirt. At least he would be able to get a little water off of it.
"Why such excitement dear?"
He tilted his head and smiled wider at her. "Well, back home was ordinary. Nothing different happened, and I've always admired priestesses and their beauty...By the way, I didn't get your name - I'm Masika." [/quote]

It is a pleasure to meet you Masika, I am Selentha. But most friends call me Selen" she winked and grinned earnestly.
"I sure do have a line you can borrow to dry your clothes! They do indeed come in handy! You may keep it if you wish, I have plenty." She smiled and kneeled back down, continuing to wash up the dirty robes from training, magic mishaps, food stains, etc from them to change back into the pure color they originated. Selentha wipped the sweat from her brow with the back of her wet hand, sighing softly before looking back over at Masika.
"Its so funny how much magical mishaps can cause such hard stains to remove worse than wine. But I guess thats how it goes when you train them." she laughed,"So Masika, what brings you here to our city? By the looks you're not from here...as well as how your eyes are when you look upon the city." Selentha smiled warmly.
