The guard sighed in a bored manner as he hung out before the door leading into the treasury. It was his turn to guard the room full of gems and gold, but it was a chore to do at times as nobody really stopped by to see him way over in this part of the large palace. Though he supposed that this was all just part of being a royal guard... despite the bore.
He was specifically told to never ever lean against the ancient door trimmed with gold, as it was fragile and very, very old. Turning about, Jono faced the door with a frown and a cocked head. He wondered just how old the door really was.
"I mean... if this is supposed ta keep people from breaking into tha treasury to steal the gold, why would it be so God damn fragile?" The blond asked himself idly as he sized up the door. His mind screamed at him to just leave it and turn back around to watch for intruders, but his curiosity was burning through the barrier.
"Alright, man, calm ya'self." He told himself firmly and crossed his arms as he quickly turned 'round and looked away from the large entrance. Golden eyes looked left; no one was in sight. He shifted his eyes to the right; again, nobody to strike up a conversation with.
'... or ta see what I'm about ta do.' He grinned, looking over his shoulder at the big golden door.
"I know what this is..." He said to himself, thinking about what the Priests told him.
"Now, guard, you not to disturb the door one bit unless you know exactly how to open it," they said to him. "That very door has been around for years and is easily thrown from its hinges if not handled. I recommend you just do your job and stand outside of the entrance to make sure that irritating thief king, Nahkti, does not get inside."
"I bet that's just a story to keep me from entering the place! They jus' don't trust good ol' Jono, 'ere." He pointed to his chest, grinning at his realization.
Without thinking, the guard lifted his leg and with the strength of a warrior... kicked the door.
"AYYEEEE!" He screamed and hobbled back from the door, grasping his foot and repeating, "Ow, ow, ow, owww!" in a pained tone of voice.
The door was so thick that it hurt him to just give it a little kick!
"Nyeh..." he sighed. "I'm so tired of standin'! If that thing can support a good kick than the door is sturdy enough ta support my weight." He said as he threw his hands behind his head, crossed his left ankle over his right and leaned back against the door, ignoring the throbbing pain pulsing through his foot.
As soon as his 140 pound weight brushed the door, he sighed and relaxed, not realizing that his body was slowly tilting backward at a slow, but steady, pace.
"Hm?" He looked around and quickly stood straight up, spinning about just in time to see the door falling in toward the room. It would seem that leaning on the door was, in fact, a stupid idea. Jono's heart sank and he ran toward the door, attempting to grab it and keep it from falling completely.
"No, no, no, nooooo!" He struggled, but his strength wasn't enough, and his fingers too slippery to keep a good hold on the stone, and the door fell to the floor.
WHAM!
The guard jumped, covering his ears from the striking sound of the stone door colliding with the floor. Before him was the exposed room of the treasury (and all of its gems and gold) and the heavy door lying on the floor.
"Oh, boy. Somebody probably heard that..." He put his palm to his forehead and wondered just how he was going to get some other guards to help him fix the door before anyone else noticed or walked by.

A young princess walked out of the overly extravagant throne room. Kisara figured that they would need to show off as much gold and riches as possible in order to make them seem as a kingdom should, but she was not buying the display; it was too much. The mixtures of incense was starting to get to her, so she thought it best to get out of the huge room and wander around before her next lesson.
She had originally went to see if she could talk to her father, Pharaoh Atem, she wanted to make amends with him concerning a fight that had taken place the previous night. They tended to get into it a lot and she actually felt bad, but she did not see him anywhere. He was probably out with the priests or daddy or whoever.
Entering the adjacent hallway, she noticed a path that she hadn't taken before, the priests wouldn't let her in and she was hard press to find time where they weren't keeping an eye on her. The small and narrow hallway was normal looking, same walls as the others, but a lot longer and from the looks of it seemed to go on forever. The princess was glad that it was one way or she would never be able to find her way out of this maze of a hallway, she didn't expect it to have so many twists and turns.
WHAM
The princess screamed in her high pitched, feminine way and looked around. She was frightened that there might be an attack going on or someone was trying to break the wall in, but... Nothing. There was silence for a short while then she heard a familiar, though immaculate, voice. It was surely Jono's.
"Oh, boy. Somebody probably heard that..."
She followed the only path she could take to get to the voice, forward. It was sure to lead her to the insane captain of the guard. Kisara ran; if it was in face Jono there is always a chance he could have gotten into serious trouble... Well, Kisara did worry about him, but mainly she just didn't want to miss the shenanigans. Jono always finds his way out of these ridiculous, marvelous misadventures((OF FLAPJACK)) and she sure as hell didn't want to miss out on this one.
She finally got to the end of the hallway and saw the back of Jono and the treasury room's huge golden door laying on the ground and exposing her family's wealth. There were piles of gold that reached to the ceiling, jewels she had never seen in her life were shimmering in the light of the many candles, and relics that were sure to have been worth more than most of the gold that was flung around. At this point any group of thieves would be able to over power them and swipe their entire treasury.
"JONO! What did you do?!" Kisara asked with her eyes wide in utter disbelief.
She stood there for a second, unable to move and unable to figure out how he was capable of knocking down an entire door.

He stood there completely motionless and pale in the face as he gazed at the door laying on the palace floor. What if Atem saw? What if someone walked in, saw it and then ran off to go tell a Priest? WHAT IF A PRIEST FOUND OUT?! Jono began to panic as he looked about frantically with his hands on his head.
"Alright, Jono... you can do this! Maybe the door isn't THAT heavy." He spoke to himself whilst nervously gnawing his lip as he moved to the other side of the fallen stone door. He looked down and scratched the back of his head, wondering if he could manage it. Of course he could! He was Jono, one of the captains of the guard!
Squatting, he gingerly reached for the edge of the door and counted down...
"3... 2... 1 and- OOOF!" He pulled on the fallen door with all of his might.
The door didn't lift even an inch.
"Oh Gods..." He breathed, staring wide eyed at the stubborn stone door.
"Oh Gods, oh Gods, oh Gods." He hit his forehead with his plam repeatedly until suddenly-
"JONO! What did you do?!"
He jumped almost two feet in the air, his hair standing on the back of his neck as the princess interrupted his thought process on how to lift the door up and fix it.
"Erk!" He stifled a scream as it was apparent that Kisa scared him. "Uh- h-hey, Princess!" He stood straight up, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.
"Oh, what am I doing? Um, well... haha. Nothing." The guard spat out suddenly before thinking of a way to save himself.
"What are YOU doing 'ere? You're not supposed ta even be here." He eyed her and waited for a response, hoping she'd take the bait and leave.

Though the princess had not been alive very many years, she could tell that Jono had done something very wrong. He tended to prove that he could do what she thought impossible, but knocking a door down, that was a definite first. She examined him for a second or two and then directly into his eyes, the candle light made them look exactly like the gold that he had made askew.
The blue haired princess simply stared at the obvious predicament that her friend was in. Her eyes looked from him to the door at back at him, one dark eye brow raised inquisitively.
"Uh- h-hey, Princess!" Kisara's face softened at this, she almost swooned when he would call her princess, but she could never point out why.
"Oh, what am I doing? Um, well... haha. Nothing." But before she could respond, he cut her off with -
"What are YOU doing 'ere? You're not supposed ta even be here."
The captain was obviously very shaken up, however he was trying to play it off. But who was he to say that the princess didn't belong there... Even if the priests would probably say the same thing.
She slightly started to giggle as he tried harder and harder to prove to her the opposite. That smile he gave her pretty much gave him away. This giggle grew until it was a full laugh; she looked at his face, then to the door, then too his face again and had to wipe the tears that her laugh started causing.
She wouldn't let herself let this little laugh fit last too long, because that would be improper and not lady like as the priests say. Kisara also hoped that he wouldn't get his feelings hurt and believe that she was laughing at him or though he was stupid.
Calming herself down some what from the laughing that just ensued, she said,
"I am the princess, I don't have to answer to you! But, Jono, I could ask you so many questions, however I wont. I just have one I can't help but ask... How are you going to fix this?"
He was so cute and she knew she couldn't keep up the tough act for too long.
She moved a bit closer to him, so close that she could place her hand on his waist in order to comfort him. She looked up and waited for his response. Would he still try an play it off, or would he give her a straight answer?

Jono couldn't help but grit his teeth at the stubborn youth before him. Clearly set upon getting the female to leave without saying a word, the guard placed his hands on his slender hips and cocked his head to the side with an irritated smirk, both eyes closed. He had to think of a plan to get her out of here!
"Now, Princess, ya should know better not ta be wanderin' around this palace. There are a lot a creeps 'round 'ere just ready to pounce a little body like yours and use it to their likin'. That's why I don't want ya jus' walking around by yaself, got it?" He explained, on the verge of being sincere... but really just wishing she'd leave him to fix this.
"But you're jus' gonna do what ya do best and stand there questionin' me 'til ya get what ya want so I don't know why I ever bothered with this." He shook his head, moving his muscular, but slim, arms to cross over his armored chest.
"Eh... as far as fixin' this? No clue."
He stood upright and walked about the edge of the fallen door, examining it thoroughly. "I tried pickin' it up, but it jus' won't budge! Ahhhhh, if any of the priests find out about this my ass is dead meat!" He grabbed his head in a panic, thinking to himself.
"I know! We can jus' walk away from this! Jus', um, walk away and no one will know we were 'ere, right?"
Sure! The plan was fool-proof! Just walk away and when someone discovers it they'll ask around and no one will know who did it except for me because I was on duty and the only people who knew he was on duty was everyone-
"AHHH THERE'S NO WAY OUTTA THIS!" He exclaimed in horror at his revelation and squatted on the the balls of his feet, thinking about the demotion he was sure to get once someone walked by and saw what happened to the sacred door.
"Princess..." He took a long pause and sighed before slapping his hands together in a prayer-like motion. "Please, please, PLEASE don't tell anybody about this!" The captain said in a tone of voice filled with so much pleading that he was surprised he didn't just turn into a groveling hound.
At this rate he was sure to lose his position as captain. He'd get in trouble, get sent to the dungeon and then thrown out of the palace to be homeless, cold and hungry all over again.

Kisara stood back and listened to the captain ramble on about how much trouble that he would get into about this little problem. She gave a soft smile as she saw him practically begging for her to not tell anyone. He was so cute when he was on his knees!
Honestly, though she was paying more attention to the way that the light glimmered off his armor and how his eyes sparkled. And the fact that he thought for a second that they would be able to just walk away from this and nobody would be the wiser.
She looked around and knew that there was no one around and might not be until his shift is over, so her friend was pretty safe. They just had to figure out a way to make sure that word of this didn't get around too far and get either of them in trouble. Not that anyone enforces the rules that a guard and the princess are not supposed to be this friendly.
"Jono, Jono. Calm down. I wont tell anyone, but we do have to figure out a way to fix this..." Twirling blue hair with her right index finger, her eyes looked up and slightly to the left and her head followed as she thought for a second, however came up with nothing.
Only two things came to mind, but she wasn't too sure how well they would work out.
"Maybe we can get daddy to come over here and help, if he's not too busy. Or we can get some other people to help you lift it, but we can't get anyone that will tell the priests that we are here... In this hallway... All alone."
The princess smiled at the guard. She was slightly flirting with him, but she was sure he was going to be completely oblivious at this. And granted, he was probably way too concerned with the problem at hand to maybe take her up on an offer to be alone more.
Pushing that thought away, another one came up and once again, it was about Jono.
She realized how his uniform complimented his slender body or how gorgeous his hair was. He was completely matching, the way his golden eyes were brought out by the blond and his slightly bronzed skin contrasted beautifully to the rest of him.

His boots scuffed noisily against the floor as he stood up from his begging position, golden eyes still locked on the fallen door, though he listened to every word the princess threw at him in an attempt to rationalize the situation.
"Maybe we can get daddy to come over here and help, if he's not too busy. Or we can get some other people to help you lift it, but we can't get anyone that will tell the priests that we are here... In this hallway... All alone."
He ran his gloved hand through his thick hair all the while thinking about the ideas she came up with. Jono was beginning to calm down and think things through. He then turned to her, creating a fist with his right hand and then placing it into the open palm of his left hand.
"A'right. Can ya go find Seth for me and bring 'im here? I'm sure he can use some spell to lift the door or somethin'. I'd go find him, but I really can't leave my post." He smiled sheepishly and scratched his cheek, completely oblivious to the fact that the Princess just hit on him.
"Oh, and..." He paused, looking to the side. "Could ya maybe hurry a little?" He smiled as if trying to be as nice as possible. "I'm supposed ta get off duty soon ta meet up with my girlfriend for dinner. She'll be kinda pissed off if I'm late, y'know? Hehe.." The guard forced a smile and a fake chuckle, thinking about the broad he was dating now.
It was true... the man went through women like a dog chewed through biscuits and more often then not he would be with a woman just for the sake of having sex available to him. Of course, he would get lonely from time to time, but he liked to think that he was just a crude man looking for some fun in the bed.
He continued to stand in place looking as helpless as ever. He needed to find a way to get this door fixed... or else.

Kisara went from showing a beautiful smile and egger to help to wishing that no one could help them at this point. The princess was unsure why she hated to hear about Jono's many trysts with the women from his ever growing gallery.
She looked at him and and went back to her proper, people pleasing smile. She turned on her heel and started to walk off; she made sure that she looked as womanly as possible in the hopes that he'd notice.
She knew that deep down inside she was starting to get some kind of feelings for this guard. Though she couldn't put a name on them.
Then she had an idea. She stopped walking and turned around, put on her most sincere face of remembrance and said -
"You know what... I actually think that daddy is busy right now. Yeah. I just remembered he is going to be busy all day. Yep, all daddy has a full schedule today, and tomorrow, even. I am sorry, Jono."
She knew that it was a lie and that she would have to forgive herself for that. It was just Jono. He made her think crazy things and lie!
The princess never lied before, she never had to, unless it was a small white lie. Her daddy had taught her that it would only back fire... Speaking of, she hoped that Jono wouldn't see daddy around and doing nothing after they get all of this under control. Then she would have to make another lie.

His steps were light as were his robes as he strode through the throne room with a puzzled look gleaming in his sapphire eyes. He'd heard the echoes of a loud noise coming from the hallway that lead to the treasury of the palace. This, to Seth, was worrisome as he wasn't sure if somebody had been attacked and some of the gold looted and taken from the palace.
He paid no mind to those sitting within the throne room and went straight for the hallway without pausing for even the slightest second. As he turned corners his light blue cape would strike the walls, creating quite the annoying predicament for the spellcaster. Well, now someone was sure to hear him coming!
As always, the slave would keep calm and straighten his posture to seem as though he was more courageous than he really was. Around one more corner and he would see whether or not someone was thieving or...
"You know what... I actually think that daddy is busy right now. Yeah. I just remembered he is going to be busy all day. Yep, all daddy has a full schedule today, and tomorrow, even. I am sorry, Jono."[/b]
He heard Kisara's voice and sighed, wondering who she was lying to. "Well, I'll have you know that I am not, in fact, busy, young woman." He said aloud and then rounded the last corner.
"My Gods!" He exclaimed, almost afraid of what he saw.
"Kisara! What are you doing in this hallway alone with this... man?! You are supposed to be in tutoring with a priest... not just dawdling about with this guard!" Seth lost his composure for a second, realized how he was sounding and then took a deep breath before stepping forward to examine the situation.
His soft blue eyes took in the fallen door, the sweat gleaming on Jono's nervous forehead and the treasury untouched by any thieves hands.
"I see. I am not quite sure how you two managed this one, but I suppose we will have to fix this before anyone else comes by, yes?"
He summoned as much energy as he could through the spellbinding cuff he wore upon his wrist. Chanting silently to himself, the spellcaster directed his levitating magic toward the door, making it stand upright without much of a problem at all. Once the door was back in place he smiled triumphantly at his success before focusing his attention on the guard and his daughter.
"I will assume that nothing happened between the two of you and that this is nothing but a friendship building." His eyes were almost on fire as he looked at the blond man and then toward his daughter.
"As for you, Kisara..." He began to walk down the hall to make his graceful exit. "I will see to it that the priests know you will be a little late to your classes, but you must get going now."
He didn't want the two of them to just hang out in the hall where any prying eye could make such assumptions.[/color]

His heart sank as soon as Kisara began to tell him that Seth would be busy for the next few days. He'd never get this door fixed, he'd have to cancel his date with his woman for the night, she would get mad at him, they'd argue like always and then she would probably break up with him and leave him in a sorrowful hunk of mess.
Though he had to admit that the couple of steps the princess took away from him wasn't a bad angle. He eyed her ass and nodded in approval. 'Hot damn.'
This thought was followed up by a mental slap to behave himself. She was innocent, young and THE PRINCESS for the Gods' sake! Nothing about that thought was good. At all.
The guard sighed and grabbed the bridge of his nose; this was the last time he would ever lean against a huge door like this ever again.
Just then, he heard the soft footsteps of another approaching and his heart skipped a beat. Someone was going to find out about this and he would be in trouble. He was going to lose his job in three... two... one.
Suddenly Seth stepped around the corner and he knew things would be okay. Though, this meant that the spellcaster wasn't busy like Kisara had just claimed. He shot a glance to her and narrowed his eyes, trying to figure out whether or not she lied or if Seth was just wandering and then heard the noise of the door falling.
As soon as the spellcaster began to address the two of them he knew that Seth had jumped to conclusions. He wanted to scream, 'No, no, no! It's nothing like that at all!' when it came to him and Kisara being alone together, but his mouth stayed frozen shut and his words were swallowed up by his throat.
As soon as the door was fixed with the miraculous magic that Seth possessed, Jono nodded in thanks to the other and held his breath as the spellcaster walked away. Jono really hoped that Seth wouldn't tell anyone about this.
When he was certain they were alone, Jono looked to the icy-haired beauty and lifted an inquisitive brow at her. "I guess he was jus' takin' a break, nyeh?" He said with a small smirk.
Lifting his right hand, he ruffled Kisara's long hair and sighed in relief. "Well, now that everythin's fixed I should really get goin'! Gotta a date tonight an' all." He grinned and began to talk away from the young girl before pausing and looking over his shoulder.
"Oh, and take care of yaself, Princess. Those priests can be pretty mean." He winked and proceeded to make his exit down the hallway.

Kisara's eyes widened and her breath stopped for only a few seconds as she head the soft footsteps that could only belong to her daddy. This was an obvious sign from the gods that lying only leads to more trouble. ((Moral lesson of the day!))
Her fears were actualized when she turned around and saw the beautiful brown hair and the blue eyes she inherited.
She knew that she had to play off the fact that she knew her daddy was not busy. There he was, plain as day and she felt her heart sink as her daddy was obviously disappointed in her. He always knew what she was thinking some how.
She put on her best surprised face and moved over so her daddy could fix the door. His magic was amazing and she wished that she could do all the things that he could. Though, she almost wanted the door to stay broken, that insured that Jono would be unable to leave.
As he walked away she looked back at Jono and smiled once more. She kept that smile as he said that he had to leave, even though she was very unhappy on the inside.
"Oh, and take care of yaself, Princess. Those priests can be pretty mean."
Before she could say anything to the guard he walked away. She looked over at the huge door that cause this whole mess in the first place and said -
"Looks like it's just you and me... I think I'd rather not study today..."
She pushed herself against the wall and let gravity take her down to a sitting position. She knew that Jono's duty was not over yet, he just abandoned his post, probably because of all the excitement. The princess let out a heavy sigh and closed her eyes, she was trying to understand this new emotion she was adding to her repertoire.
What ever it was it was obviously not allowed.
