Lavishly decorated tapestries hung from the walls, silently giving witness to past events that had occured only weeks prior. The marble tile floor shone brightly beneath the flickering torches that lined the pallid walls of cream and soft linens. Surprising to see as only a while earlier, a young spellcaster had taken his life before the eyes of few.
'Now he will never come back to me..' Pharaoh thought to himself as he came barging through the heavy wooden doors that kept his throne from view. His eyes remained fixed at his chair, the way the dancing fires of the torches leamed against the elaborate decor. All he will know is a monster.. Atem halted as he finally reached his destination. His beloved throne where he had come to sit and think the day away.
WHAM!
Atems eyes seemed to become heavy and fixated on a half lidded gaze on the large wooden door. His left hand came up to a fist and situatated beneath his head his elbow resting on the arm of the chair and his right ankle coming to cross at his left knee as he sighed. "Jono.. can you go one damn day without breaking something?". He muttered without a care.

Selentha appeared rather worn out as she silently glided down the hallways of the area, her hands neatly tucked in her sleeves as she nodded her head silently to those she passed. Her eyes wandered the surrounding area though she was rather lost in her own thoughts as to the recent events that occured. With that, she had not noticed where her feet had taken her until she ran into the throne doors. She fell back in a heap of robes and now messy curls as she hurriedly stood up and coughed quietly. Selentha made sure no one was around before her lips curved into a rather shy smile to herself. It was a good thing she did not get caught. A rather quiet mumble made her pause as she curiously looked around before the door creaked open as she pushed it to let herself inside. Selentha pursed her lips when she saw who lounged in his throne with a rather troubled gaze upon nothing in particular. Selentha placed her hands now to rest one her hips as she gave a small sigh and smiled to the young man.
"And what, pray Ra, do we have here?" Selentha cooed softly as she walked forward, the ends of her robes pooling behind her as she came to sit on one of the arms of the throne.
Selen propped her elbow ontop of Atem's head and poked his cheek. To say the least, if Atem was not one of her closest friends she may have had her head gone from her body long ago. But since there was no one in sight, Selentha merely played the role of her usual sisterly-motherly love around him.
"Do spare a few words on your thoughts my dear friend."

The Pharaoh sighed softly as he watched the tapestries flow gently against the walls out of the corner of his eye. His chest rising and falling slowly as he closed tired amethysts, his form adjusting against the elaborately decorated chair. Distantly, he heard the gentle creaking and groaning of the wooden doors which caused his eyes to flutter open but fail to stay widened and fall heavily back to their closed state.
"Someone... there?" He called as tiny footsteps were heard against the maroon runner that cut and divided the room.
"And what, pray Ra, do we have here?"
Atem's eyes shot open as he felt presence at his side, a lithe form sitting on his throne. "What-in-Ra's na.." He started but became halted as he felt an elbow atop his head which made him blink and turn to the direction of the form. Selentha.
"Do spare a few words on your thoughts my dear friend." Atem smiled to her words and gave a heavy sigh as he moved to remove her elbow. Pharaoh cleared his throat and squeezed the hand he held before letting go. "Where do I begin.."

"Perhaps you may begin at where you feel best to start? Or the beginning, whichever works for you.." Selen smiled serenely at her friend, tucking a wisp of blonde behind his ear and taking his hand back into her own, squeezing it affectionately back.
Blue eyes observed her childhood friend, worry etched behind them. She had known Atem for a long time and to see him so down was always worrisome for her. Atem meant a lot to her. Selentha recalled many times when he was there for her and thus, she felt it was justice to be there for her friend as well. She lounged on the arm of the throne chair, crossing her legs and fixing her robes appropriately as she fondly petted his head, something she did even as a child.
